Story
Kingsman: The Secret Service is an upcoming British action film directed by Matthew Vaughn based on the comic book The Secret Service created by Dave Gibbons and Mark Millar. The screenplay was written by Vaughn and Jane Goldman. The film's cast includes Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Strong, Taron Egerton, and Michael Caine.
Premise
Kingsman: The Secret Service is based upon the comic book by Mark Millar, and depicts a veteran secret agent who leads a young protege into the world of espionage.
Production
The film was announced in late October 2012 after Matthew Vaughn dropped out of directing X-Men: Days of Future Past to adapt the Mark Millar comic book The Secret Service. On 27 March 2013, 20th Century Fox confirmed the film and set 14 November 2014 as release date for the film worldwide and the production will begin in August.Colin Firth joined the cast to lead the film on 29 April 2013.On 3 June 2013, it was reported that Leonardo DiCaprio was in talks to join as a villain.
Post-production
On 20 May 2014, it was reported that Henry Jackman and Matt Margeson would be composing the music for the film.On 11 July 2014, it was announced that Gary Barlow would be writing the music for the film.
