Story:Retired C.I.A. agent Frank Moses reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest to track down a missing portable nuclear device. After the success of the earlier film in 2010, Ernest Borgnine always held out hope he'd be around to reprise his role as Henry the records keeper in the 2013 sequel. When interviewed in April 2012, he mentioned there was talk about it over the years and made one request to the producers - "I told them if they do it, I want to carry a gun this time" He kept in touch with screenwriters Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber and in the end would have had a major role in a sequence at the start of the movie. When Ernest passed away in July 2012, three months prior to the start of production, his scenes were reconfigured and would feature an uncredited. If you liked the first RED, you will like this second in the series. Trust me on this. It was funny, witty, snappy, lively, sarcastic, engrossing and entertaining. I literally walked out of the movie trying to figure out what stick the critics have up their butts, since it was IN NO WAY inferior to the first film. Period. Now, you could quibble with the first film, if you want, but you could quibble with almost any movie. You could complain about inconsistencies, impossibilities, character schtick, etc. etc. etc. But none of those were significant problems in the first, and none of them are problems in the second.
